Giving to Portland Mennonite Church

As Christians we know that all of life is a gift. And the gifts we’ve been given by God are meant for the work of God – shaping lives in the way of Christ and living out the gospel vision of justice and mercy. At Portland Mennonite we strive to be good stewards of God's gifts, working faithly and responsibly in mission for our world. As stewards of money and possessions, we are to live simply, practice mutual aid within the church, uphold economic justice, and give generously and cheerfully.

Every year in the fall we invite members and friends of PMC to renew their financial commitment to support the worship and work of the church. This call to generosity is not only a means to fund a budget (though it is surely that!), it is a call to be a certain kind of people and a certain kind of community – compassionate, engaged, trusting, grateful.

Re-occurring Direct Deposit through Electronic Giving

Simplify your giving by authorizing a regular, automated transfer of your gifts from your account directly to the church account. Re-occurring donations can be made on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly frequency. It's a confidential and convenient way to support the church. It's regular and consistent and eliminates the cost of envelopes, saving paper and time. To get started, you can up pick an authorization form from the literature box in the basement or download a form which you can fill out and turn in to the church office or Treasurer.

One-time Online Gifts

Donation Receipts

Receipts for donations by check or electronic giving are provided each January for the prior year. Receipts for cash donations can only be acknowledged if the donation is placed in an envelope with the donor’s name written on it. If so identified, receipts will be given in January for the prior year.

Receipts for One-time Online Gifts will be provided by Mennonite Foundation.
