Giving to Portland Mennonite ChurchAs Christians we know that all of life is a gift. And the gifts we’ve been given by God are meant for the work of God – shaping lives in the way of Christ and living out the gospel vision of justice and mercy. At Portland Mennonite we strive to be good stewards of God's gifts, working faithly and responsibly in mission for our world. As stewards of money and possessions, we are to live simply, practice mutual aid within the church, uphold economic justice, and give generously and cheerfully. Every year in the fall we invite members and friends of PMC to renew their financial commitment to support the worship and work of the church. This call to generosity is not only a means to fund a budget (though it is surely that!), it is a call to be a certain kind of people and a certain kind of community – compassionate, engaged, trusting, grateful. One-time Online GiftsYou can also click here to make one-time gifts. The process is a fast, convenient, and secure way for you to give and is processed through Mennonite Foundation on behalf of the Portland Mennonite. While your donor receipt will be from the Mennonite Foundation, 100% of your donation will be forwarded to Portland Mennonite. The first time you use the Mennonite Foundation, you will be prompted to create a profile. A profile is not required, but it stores your information so that it is unnecessary to re-enter it if additional gifts are made. Donation ReceiptsReceipts for donations by check or electronic giving are provided each January for the prior year. Receipts for cash donations can only be acknowledged if the donation is placed in an envelope with the donor’s name written on it. If so identified, receipts will be given in January for the prior year. Receipts for One-time Online Gifts will be provided by Mennonite Foundation.
