Colombia Sister Church Committee
PMC has been in a Sister Church relationship with the Anolaima Mennonite Church, 11/2 hours southwest of Bogotá, since January 2003. The purpose of the CSC Committee is to be our congregation's link to the congregation in Anolaima, to encourage mutual interaction and support for the work each church is doing.
Seven people from PMC have traveled to Colombia to learn more about the life and work of Colombian Mennonites. E-mail letters are exchanged with Anolaima on a regular basis. Pen-pal relationships have been established between youth in both congregations. Some advocacy work has taken place in calling on our elected officials to use their influence to encourage just actions in relating to Colombia. We pray regularly for the people of Anolaima.
