The stories we love make us who we are.
~Salman Rushdi
We are story-formed people. The stories the Bible tells are meant to shape us for a distinctive way of living in the Beloved Community. The stories are not all good; they do not all have happy endings. But they are real and truthful and bear the wisdom and hope of God. During this Lenten season we are invited to find our place in the story the scriptures tell.
We hope you will join us.

Ash Wednesday / February 22, 6:30 PM
Sunday Morning Worship
Each week we will sing our gratitude, confess our sins, hear the scriptures, and pray for grace and peace.
Spring Break Sunday / March 26 / 10:45 a.m. / moved to the church
On what we are calling ‘Spring Break Sunday,’ we will gather for a potluck brunch at the church followed by a shorter worship service.
Lenten Devotional
The Lenten season runs from the gray of Ash Wednesday to the brilliant dawn of Easter Sunday. To draw us deeper into the season, the Worship Committee is making available a devotional titled ‘Henri Matisse and the Colors of Lent.’ It draws on the words of scripture and the work of Matisse, one of the most influential artists in modern history. Each week there is an invitation to ‘Read, Think, Look, and Practice.’ Print copies are available in the Old Chapel. |
