July 29, 2017: Clackamas Riverside Trail
This lovely 3.6 mile out and back hike follows the canyon of the wild and scenic Clackamas River. The trail weaves through old-growth forest before emerging onto clifftops for views of rushing rapids below. We will picnic on a gravel beach along the Clackamas while Ospreys wheel above us.

August 26, 2017: Latourell Falls hike
Our hike begins with two different views of Lower Latourell Falls plunging 249 feet in a sheer drop. From the lower falls, the 2.3 mile loop switchbacks uphill through a lovely wooded canyon to the twisting waters of Upper Latourell Falls. Coming back downhill, we’ll cross the scenic highway and enjoy a well-deserved lunch in the picnic area. On the return trip we will stop at Crown Point for an amazing view of the Columbia Gorge.
