The Justice Committee is highlighting climate change
and the personal, global, and spiritual responses our
Anabaptist Christian faith calls forth from us.
This year we are focusing on food...
Eating in Season
Carefully selecting the food we eat is one of the most important things we can do to reduce our carbon footprint and environmental impact. By eating food in season and from local sources, we can:
· Reduce shipping distances (less carbon emissions)
· Reduce solid waste (packaging)
· Support the local community and economy
· Live more in tune with the earth in our locality -- its climate, soil, vegetation
