Life is a gift...

...and the gifts we've been given by God are meant for the work of God – shaping lives in the way of Christ and living out the gospel vision of justice and mercy. At Portland Mennonite Church we strive to be good stewards of God's gifts, working faithfully and responsibly in mission for our world.  As stewards of money and possessions, we are to live simply, practice mutual aid within the church, uphold economic justice, and give generously and cheerfully of our time and resources.

Planning our giving through pledges...

Every year in the fall we invite members and friends of PMC to renew their financial commitment to support the worship and work of the church.  This call to generosity is not only a means to fund a budget (though it is surely that!),  it is a call to be a certain kind of people and a certain kind of community – compassionate, engaged, trusting, and grateful.

TAX INFORMATION
Receipts for donations by check, electronic giving, and cash (if given in an envelope with donor’s name) are provided each January for the prior year. If you give through another organization (eg Everence advised stock donations, or through employer matching programs), you can expect a tax receipt from that organization directly.  Our Tax ID is 93-0550602.
CORPORATE DONATION PROGRAMS
If you regularly shop at Amazon.com or Fred Meyer, please use the following programs to support PMC. They only cost the time it takes you to sign up and provide our church with hundreds of dollars in additional support each year.

Amazon Smile is the exact same as Amazon.com, except a portion of your purchase price goes to your chosen charity. Click here to shop Amazon Smile and support PMC.

Fred Meyer - When you enroll in the Fred Meyer Community Rewards Program and select Portland Mennonite Church as the beneficiary, a portion of your purchases at Fred Meyer stores will be given to PMC.
