An Ambivalent Lent
Lent is a season for being truthful about what is amiss in our own lives and in the world around us. It is also a season that prepares us to trust more deeply in the hope of Easter. It is an ‘ambivalent season’ (ambivalence - literally ‘to hold or feel two different things deeply’). It is a season of fasting and feasting, of lament and hope. Join us as we strive to be both truthful and trusting as we follow the Way of Jesus

The Art of Lent
The Lenten season runs from the gray of Ash Wednesday to the brilliant dawn of Easter morning. To draw us deeper into the season, the Worship Committee is making available a devotional titled, The Art of Lent, by Sister Wendy Beckett. It includes a painting a day with a short reflection. Copies are in the PMC office (suggested donation of $10). ZOOM GATHERINGS Rod Stafford will also host a 20-minute weekly Zoom group for reflection and prayer at 5:30 pm on Thursdays, starting February 22. Contact Rod if you would like to be part of the group. |
