THE LONGEST NIGHT

A SOLSTICE SERVICE OF LOSS & GRIEF
DECEMBER 21 / 7-8PM

The longest night of the year comes right on the cusp of Christmas. Amidst all of the "comfort and joy" of the season, some of us are carrying grief, enduring loss, struggling with depression.

On December 21, we will gather for a service of readings, meditative music, silence and prayers. We will bring our grief, sadness and pain, trusting that the darkness cannot overcome the light of Christ's love (John 1.5). The hour-long service will start at 7:00 pm in the Portland Mennonite Church sanctuary.

Everyone is welcome.
