These groups are open to anyone who wants to join and typically have a specific focus, activity, or shared life experience. They may be a one time thing or happen regularly throughout the year. Young Adult Social - on hiatus until springAn informal social gathering for young adults (25-45ish, flexible). We’ll meet once a month at a local restaurant or brewery for dinner, drinks, or snacks – whatever fits your schedule and budget.

Hiking GroupNeed some more forest bathing in your life? Join this group to do hikes once a month together. It is a great time to be out in nature and get to know other PMCers better. Hikes will be minimum 6 miles, 1000 ft elevation gain.

Dorcas Needles & StitchesWe knot comforters for MCC. These may be sent directly to refugees or some get sold at the Oregon Mennonite Festival for World Relief. The group is open and anyone who wants to come is welcome. Just show up! Children should be able to tie a square knot so probably anyone by age 6 or 7 could join us.

“Put a Bird on it” Game Group! - on hiatusCome join the flock of bird themed game players... We're getting together to play Wingspan once a month and Rook every other month. Join us in the lower level of the church and bring snacks if you like. People who have never played either game are welcome to come and learn (ages 10+ for Wingspan and 8+ for Rook recommended).

Bison Coffee House / Dismantling the Doctrine of Discovery (DDoD)This Group is focused on repairing the harm done under the Doctrine of Discovery to Indigenous people and cultures. Support, learning, and action for aspiring helpers at every level of interest and engagement. Gather at 10am on the 2nd TUE monthly to share what we are learning about Dismantling the Doctrine of Discovery, and to patronize Portland’s only Native-American owned coffee & bake shop. 3941 NE Cully Blvd.

Portland Mennonite QuiltersThis group is focused on hand quilting. Usually quilts are completed to be auctioned at the Oregon Mennonite Festival for World Relief. Sometimes we accept commissions - hand quilt for donation to MCC. The group is open to anyone. Beginners are welcome!

NightstrikeNight Strike is a community gathering that mobilizes volunteers/services, meets felt needs, and develops relationships that transform lives. It is an opportunity for members of Portland’s homeless community to hang out, enjoy a hot meal, receive a free haircut or shave, have their feet washed and have their old shoes/clothes/sleeping bags replaced. PMC gathers a group of 5 volunteers once a month to help at Nightstrike.

Monday Knitting CircleWe gather twice a month for a knitting circle in NE Portland. We welcome all knitters to bring a project and come knit together with us two evenings a month.
