Casa Alitas—“House of Wings”—is a shelter in Tucson, Arizona set up in 2014 to help immigrants from Central America who come seeking asylum at the U.S.-Mexico border. It was started by Catholic Community Services and is supported by MCC.
The scriptures call us to extend radical hospitality to neighbor and stranger. Out of a Fall class on the issues of immigration, the Radical Hospitality Team has emerged to help PMC extend hospitality to vulnerable people, and especially undocumented victims of labor trafficking and other crimes.
