The Pugh family of Arlen, Kelly, Lily, Jacob, Jonathan and Joseph have had a rough year. On June 8 of last year the family became homeless. Arlen and Kelly struggled to keep themselves and the family together. The kids ended up going into foster care. Now, not quite a year later, things are looking up for the family. Arlen and Kelly along with Lily and Jacob moved into their new apartment in February. Arlen is in a program called New City Kitchen where he will learn the skills needed to work in a commercial kitchen. Lily and Jacob are enjoying school. Lily was very excited about the “Twilight New Moon” poster given to her by our team. Jacob is a collector! He collects anything from comic books to Matchbox cars. Kelly is five months pregnant with their fifth child and is doing well. The family enjoys hiking, fishing and being outdoors. They participated in the PMC Hiking Club in April and plan to come along for the next one on June 15. This was a wonderful week for the family. On Thursday Jonathan and Joseph returned to the family. After 11 months apart, they are once again a complete family unit! They greatly appreciate the gifts from PMC. The Village Support Team is in the planning stages of organizing a fishing trip this summer, so be on the look-out for details. It would be wonderful if some of you could join us! ~Rachel Ringenberg Miller _____________________________________________________________________________________________ PMC has committed to working with the Pugh family for six months as they transition from shelter to housing. Our support team is Debra Unruh, Kelsey Knight-King, Vicki Meyer, Susan Voss-Rothmeier, Barry Frisby and Rachel Ringenberg Miller. The Village Support Team is supported by the Community Outreach Core Ministry Team.
