The Justice Committee of PMC is glad to co-sponsor the Rob Scheps Trio with New City Initiative. The Committee is focusing on homelessness in Portland as we “seek the peace of the city.”

One of the finest saxophonists of his generation with his own citation in the Encyclopedia of Jazz , Rob has toured or recorded with Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Terumasa Hino, Victor Lewis, Joey Calderazzo, John Scofield, Linda Ronstadt, Buddy Rich, Mel Torme, Cecil Taylor,Louie Bellson, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Johnny Mathis, Julis Hemphill, Sam Rivers and PDQ Bach. He has 2 new pending cd’s: one by the Rob Scheps Core-tet on Jazzcode; and one by the Rob Scheps Big band with Chuck Israel.
